The Kora and little bird affirms the mystical and expands my consciousness to embrace the larger eternal in all of life. I remember its a matter of focus that transforms the ordinary to miraculous. As I explore consciousness and creating “Heaven on Earth” for myself I am surprised and amazed at how easily, yet hard, as it goes against upbringing and societal training, it can be to view what we call reality “what is” from either the contrast or the joy and bliss. My friend viewed the trip around the Kora through the filters of the people in Tibet don’t have much in some cases, it’s a struggle to live in this pristine environment; whereas I saw the Tibetan people as extremely resilient even in the face of aggression, maintaining a joyful, thriving, strong community and keeping their religious practices no matter what, living in partnership in the pristine environment enjoying their work and existence. Our trip to Tibet was one of wonderful friendly locals, high altitudes, beautiful monasteries, spectacular mountain scenery and a three day circumnavigation of holy Mt. Kailash (holy pilgrimage site for four major religions and intrepid seekers worldwide). We started with a wonderful train ride from Xining (the capital of Qinghai province in western China) across the Tibetan plateau to Lhasa in Tibet, home of the famous Potola Palace, the former residence and palace of the Dali Lama. We visited the palace and several monasteries before heading across Tibet for the high mountains and the Kora. A little bird delivered a special message that transforms the ordinary to miraculous.
