EFT to Create Positive Emotions, June 2023

Turn around negative emotions and create positivity.

Emotional Freedom Technique, Tapping, gives you a practical tool to turn negative emotions into more positive emotions and positive emotions into more loving, joyful and blissful emotions. The negativity creates stress in our life that reduces our cognitive capacity, lowers immunity, impairs healing, and keeps us from relaxing.

Tapping has two formulations to increase our positive emotional state: a positive tapping and a negative tapping protocol.

The positive tapping protocol is used when we feel good and above the neutral state of boredom (see the tone scale chart below, state 8) and we wish to increase our state towards joy and bliss.

When we are in a negative low emotional tone (state 8 and above) we use the negative formulation to start the reversal and climb to positive emotions.

Whenever you are feeling less than good, if you will stop and say, Nothing is more important than that I feel good—I want to find a reason now to feel good, you’ll find an improved thought.

Anytime you feel negative emotion, you are in the mode of resisting something that you want, and that resistance takes its toll on you. It takes its toll on your physical body, and it takes its toll on the amount of wonderful things that you are allowing to come into your experience. -Abraham

Step 1 Locate your current state on Figure 1 below. Read each statement and drop to the heart and test the statement with how you feel. Your intuition, with practice, will clue you in to the state you are in. To do this you must move beyond the mind to the intuition. Practice developing your intuition often and it will start to become available.

If you can’t locate it or aren’t sure look to the sensations in your body are any parts or organs painful, tight or feeling congested (use the organ – emotion correlations in the six healing sounds) to get a baseline. Still can’t get it proceed with this feeling (the one in your body that you haven’t identified yet (it may come to you later).

Step 2 rate this state of emotion or feeling,  from 0 (lowest intensity of the feeling) to 10 (highest intensity of the feeling).

Step 3 Tap it out for the first round using either the positive formulation if you are feeling really good, use the negative formulation if you are sort of neutral or have an emotion active in your experience today.

Create Positivity: Positive Formulation

I feel good and want to feel even better, I totally love and forgive myself.

I’m feeling really good, I totally love, accept myself as I am and forgive myself.

I’m am going to have a fantastic day today, I love, accept, honor and forgive myself completely.

Tap the points:

Between Eyes (BE) –       This feeling I have feels good.

Side of Eye (SE) –              These sensations I am feeling are good

Under Eye (UE) –              I feel good and my body feels good

Under nose (UN) –          I want to feel even better now and throughout the day.

Under bottom lip (UL)-   I choose in this moment to intend to have a really good day.

Collar bone point (CB) – I feel really good.

Under Arm (UA) –             I choose to really feel good because I know the better I feel the better day I

Will have.

Top of Head (TH) –           So I choose right now and throughout my day to feel great

BE –                                      And if anything starts to come up, I reach for better feeling thoughts

SE –                                      Maybe I have _______ (doubt) really, I trust and know I can work through it.

UE –                                     I choose to release this doubt and trust myself I can do it.

UN –                                     I can feel even better and release the frustration and move higher (lower

number) to boredom (neutral).

UL –                                      I can choose to love myself and feel great in this moment.

CB –                                      continue to list what feels good, what I am grateful in this moment I’m alive!

UA –                                     So I choose to focus on what makes me feel great, joyful and blissful

TH –                                     I am going to have a great day (if still feel unsettle or something comes up                                          continue until you feel it releasing).

Create Positivity: Negative Formulation

Even though I have negative emotion (fill it in or this feeling), I love and forgive myself.

Even though I have this feeling (_____), I complete love, accept myself as is and forgive myself.

Even though I feel (______), I love, accept, honor and love myself completely.

Tap the points (start with owning and feeling your negative emotions, emotions when named and felt are released, then move to positive feelings, thoughts and emotions – until you feel better):

Between Eyes (BE) –       This feeling

Side of Eye (SE) –              These sensations

Under Eye (UE) –              How my body is feeling

Under nose (UN) –          I breathe deeply releasing any negative feelings, emotions and thoughts.

Under bottom lip (UL)-   I choose in this moment to intend to have a better day.

Collar bone point (CB) – I reach for better feeling thoughts now and throughout the day.

Under Arm (UA) –             I choose to turn from my feelings (for example resistance) to releasing the

tightness and stickiness.

Top of Head (TH) –           So I choose right now and throughout my day to release and let go.

BE –                                      I reach for better feeling thoughts to love myself to free myself.

SE –                                      Maybe I can choose more (perhaps freedom in this example), I trust I can

work through this issue.

UE –                                     I choose to release myself and trust myself that I can do it.

UN –                                     I can feel better and release to boredom (neutrality).

UL –                                      I can choose to love myself and feel great in this moment as I

move to contentment.

CB –                                      maybe I can feel hope.

UA –                                     So I choose to relax and release the negative and feel grateful.

TH –                                      I am choosing to start my day feeling better so I can have a better day.

BE –                                      I have this great tool (tapping) and I am in control of my emotions.

SE –                                      So I tap out the negative emotions I had.

UE –                                     I start to program my sub-conscious with positive emotions and thoughts.

UN –                                     I am master of my emotions and thoughts.

UL –                                      I choose to feel good and enlist my 70 trillion cells that know how to feel great.

CB –                                      I let any remaining negativity go.

UA –                                     I am so grateful I can release my emotions in this moment and so release them.

TH –                                     I am going to have a fantastic day (if still feel unsettled or something comes

up continue until you feel it releasing).

Step 4 Rate how you feel again, 0 (no charge) to 10 (most charged in the emotion). Congratualte yourself on any reduction of the feelings. This is movement in the right direction. If you are above 2-3 find time to continue tapping when you can and release the charges you have.

Step 5 have a really great day and continue to tap daily or whenever you need it.

A noted researcher in the EFT world, Dawson Church, says even if we can’t figure out the exact words to use while tapping; just tapping on the endpoints releases stress and makes us feel better. This is the way to create more positivity and lower stress.

The more specific to your situation you make the script the better results you will have. Have fun and play with making your own scripts they get better the more you do it and if it feels good you are doing good for yourself.

Have a great winter, a great time to hibernate and prepare for the spring by examining where you are emotionally and changing to a more positive emotional lifestyle (lower stress and create positivity),

From the N2 (Cape Town towards George) Take the first Swellendam exit (left). This is the R60. Proceed (1km+) through the 4 way stop and continue approximately 2-3 km and look for a sign for the Hermitage. Make a hard right (270 degrees). After the turn continue about 200 meters and turn left at first road (dirt). Proceed 300 meters and turn left into Red Roan Ranch and go to bottom of hill (the main house).
