21 Day Balance 1

21 day clean, purge, balance
10 April 2020 Day 15 (Balance 1) – Poise: A first step.
Welcome to Day 15 (Balance 1) – Making friends with still, being in meditation.
Welcome to day 15, the beginning of week three, in this week we focus on Balance of Work, Play, and Rest the final journey of our 21 day program of cleaning, purging, and balance.
Balance is the masterful blending of rest, work and play. Rest is a vital part of well-being, longevity, health, and vitality. Play with childlike curiosity, openness, and wonder helps us maintain a youthful mind and a flexible consciousness to renew and reverse aging. It helps you recapture the value of fullness, aliveness, joy and just being (your-self).
Balance begins by putting yourself first and meeting your needs especially for self-care so you have the energy for work, play and helping others. Many in our society have this backward and try to help others without taking care of themselves first. The result of this is a person with low energy, burn-out and often misalignment, a state where they cannot help others.
To really balance yourself, care for yourself by resting in the sacred space of silent connection in centered calm. In meditation at a deep level (preferably in silence) you seek out the silent inner stillness without the overstimulation of our octane fueled lifestyle and constant entertainment and stimulation. Retreat to the stillness and the quiet that lays within gives us a window on our infinite nature and pure potentiality.
Find a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed for 15 minutes or so. Sit comfortably on the floor or in a chair with your back straight (avoid leaning back on the wall or the back of the chair if you can sit comfortably without out external support). Set a timer for 1, 5, 10, 15 minutes, start slowly and gradually increase the time as you become comfortable with it. Close your eyes and observe. Let your thoughts and images gently pass through your mind without following them or engaging in them. Start to focus on the breath into your lungs; feeling it come in through your nostrils, down into your lungs and back up and out.
Next, move the focus to the triangle from the point between your eyes down to the corners of your mouth. Sense the breath entering the nostrils, flowing over the lips, inside the nose, down the trachea, to the lungs and then return reversing its way along the same path.
Deliberately slow and lengthen the breath when it feels OK, take a moment of silence and stillness between the in and out breath and vice versa. Again do the holds with the breath in a rhythm that causes ease in your breath. Continue breathing and know that whatever you observe is ideal. Let go, just relax into the stillness and witness whatever comes. If the mind is busy don’t worry, continue to observe the breath from equanimity (non-reaction). Make friends and let it bath you in its calm stillness. Continue until your timer rings. Adjust the time you sit slowly and as your practice deepens you will be able to sit longer and enjoy the quiet.
Practice this for 21 days to see the effects first hand. Continue the practices from previous days for the entire program to fully experience the benefits.
Take Away (Balance 1): In the stillness inside me is a calming peace that is always accessible.
Enjoy your Balance,

21 Day Purge 7

April 8, 2020/0 Comments/in awareness/consciousness, Ayurveda, Dr Rivene, Dr. Rivene and Jim Montrose, food, wellness/by Jim Montrose

9 April 2020 Day 14 (Purge 7) – Letting Go: Review and handle incompletes
Welcome to Day 14 (Purge 7) – Letting Go – Staying in present moment, the only moment we can affect.
Our purging activities in the physical, mental and emotional realms are paying off. As you clear the clutter the silent pull of unfinished projects and experiences diminishes and you feel a lightness of being, more energy, focus, and freedom. You become more in the present moment and distractions disappear. Review the effectiveness list in purge 1 and finish or schedule what remains.
Make purging clutter fun. I love to purge take one room or area at a time, organize it, and discard things in a box at the door until you are satisfied. Move on to the next room or area and continue. Sort the item as you discard them into the box for the trash, selling, giving to friends, or donating. Keep this up on a regular basis (monthly or quarterly) to feel the lightness of being and freedom it creates.
Apply the joy test. Doing only what brings you joy can greatly increase the pleasure and effectiveness of what you do. See if you can remove a job or task you do not enjoy totally or delegate it to someone else.
Is it time to eliminate something from your “To Do” lists; or take action on something you have wanted to do for awhile? Maybe this is the time to shine the light of truthfulness on that part of your life and change it now. Be courageous and consider relationships (start the one you want, move out of the one that no longer suits), careers (change jobs or even careers to a totally different one if it calls), throw out a close relatives gifts you don’t like (even if you don’t want to disappoint them), those old papers and projects you are holding on to for when you have time and never get to, etc.
Practice this until you clear the clutter and feel the effects first hand. Continue the practices from previous days for the entire program to fully experience the benefits.
Take Away (Purge 7): Reclaim your passion and energy by releasing incompletes and resistance.
Enjoy your Cleanse,

8 April 2020 Day 13 (Purge 6) – Letting Go: Open to your Intuition

Welcome to Day 13 (Purge 6) – Letting Go – welcome your inner knowing as your guide and expert instead of external experts.

Our modern information age has created more confusion even though we have abundant access to information about anything we want to study. This is most apparent when we look at food recommendations. If we look at the multitude of conflicting recommendations we can find someone who tells us that any food we may wish to eat has a health risk. Dr. X promotes this approach and food, Dr. Y promotes a different food or practice, and Dr. Z contradicts saying we should never use these approaches. Is it any wonder why people are confused about what to eat? Whoever said “Information is Power,” a popular mantra of the seventies among businesses, got it wrong. What is reported in the media is often incomplete, the expert may not relate the whole story, may be biased, and make mistakes. Look at the “science” around saturated fats (like butter) that recommended the elimination of these fats from our diet for over forty years and the abrupt turnaround recently where it is “OK” again to eat saturated fats. As many of our patients ask, “How do I know what to eat?”

Knowledge is available in three forms according to Ayurveda, which struggled with this same question over 4000 years ago. They found: 1) It is transferred to us through authoritative knowledge from qualified and recognized experts in written, oral, or first person accounts, 2) is developed through direct perception which is knowledge obtained through correlation of soul, mind, sense organs, and sense objects with direct experience of the phenomenon, and 3) is arrived at through inference which is a conclusion based on sound reasoning. Ayurveda places great stock on direct perception and inference to determine the truth for a patient and more importantly for the individual to know what is right for them. This is similar to our concept of intuition where we have all had occasional glimpses at times in our life where we come to a cross roads and just knew what we want to do and what is best for us. This is one of the most important skills we can develop for ourselves – especially in an era of dueling “experts,” we must use our intuitive power, our authentic inner authority.

The key to remembering your innate sense of knowing is meditation. As Vivekananda said: “Turn thy gaze inward wherein the Supreme Self resides.”  To develop this sense of inner knowing…

7 April 2020 Day 12 (Purge 5) – Letting Go: Freeing yourself of your automatic emotional response.

Welcome to Day 12 (Purge 5), – Letting Go – Transform your constitutions emotional tendencies to love based emotions.

We all have natural inclinations related to our natural body constitutions (doshas) for the emotional challenges we most often display and the transformation they ask us to make for our evolution to a freer state of mental/emotion being. Ayurveda tells us that the emotional issues we exhibit when we are off balance are based on our nature (dosha). Go to the article on the website to determine your own dosha through a self-administered quiz (link) or make an appointment with Jim (link) for a pulse diagnosis. The table, below, summarizes the psychology of the doshas and the normal response and the emotion of transformation we want to counter it with.

Vata Pitta Kapha
Prime Psychological Responses (to reduce)
Stress, worry, agitation, fear, and anxiety Anger and resentment Greed, attachment, and unwillingness to let go of past
Psychological factors that increase it
Mental and emotional stress, anything that distracts from peace & security Conflict, argument, and anything that overheats anger, irritability, short temper. Dullness, emotional heaviness,  depression, and reduced sensory acuity
Symptoms
Lack of energy, loss of sleep, fatigue, impaired sensory functioning Burning sensations, rashes, fever, anger, hatred, rage, jealousy Heaviness in body, loss of appetite, excessive sleep, lethargy, lack of concentration, reduced sensory functioning, heavy and depressed
Evolved Response
Calm, trust, patience, security, unconcern, all is OK, ease, peace, contentment, Patience, good natured, acceptance, gentility, surrender, forgiveness, conciliation, pleasant, reconciliation, agreeable Flowing, flexible, giving, indifferent, generous, charitable, detached

21 day clean, purge, balance

6 April 2020 Day 11 (Purge 4) – Letting Go: Use your Word Impeccably

Welcome to Day 11 (Purge 4), – Letting Go – Words have force, use love/heart language and increase your quality of life.

Word has force as the Bible and the World Scriptures say. We are in a vibrational Universe and we are vibration. Words from love heart language (I love, I am, I am strong, I see good, Only good comes to me, What’s good about this experience, what do I want to focus on) set a vibrational tone of expansion of self, of DNA in every cell of the body (the DNA helix physically expands and vibrates like an antenna). Ushering in a vibration of hope and the Pineal gland unfolds and starts to shake and transmit with this vibration which expands to engulf the body and outward as our aura. Words from the heart set up a vibration that motivate us and lead us to create, to be inspired and take action. Inspiration from Source inspires us to ask for more. When we see something pleasing we ask for more of that in our orbit of living “ask and it is given.” Staying focused on what we want gives us more of what we desire.

Words that come from the opposite of love (I should, I am trapped, I have to, I don’t want to, talking about what you don’t want, hearing about what you don’t want from anger and abusive force, cause, our entire cellular body of 50 Trillion cells to shrivel where the DNA helix collapses into itself shrinking down into a coil like a snake and the cells contract, the interstitial space between cells contracts, organs, central nervous system and motor system all become small, inflexible, blocked, black holes bringing in the negative – what we don’t want. Giving us the vibration of what we are paying attention to such as fear and anger and that is what we get more of.

This is a great time to look at what brings more of what you want and start to pare away the negative influences. Sometimes we need to fast from the negative influences in our life: friends that dwell on the negative, news, gossip, TV and movie programs that cover negative topics. Surround yourself with what you want and use words that affirm and support that. In a short time you will find your life going better and better the more you can stop seeing and talking about what you don’t want. You may still drive by it or hear someone talk about it and as you quickly redirect your attention to what you want it will not affect you so much and you will feel better and better as you exercise your ability to focus on what you want to the exclusion of what is around you. And the better you do at it, the less the things you don’t want will show up in your life. This is a key to achieving internal lasting peace, calm and well-being in your life. Focus on love/heart language and let go of what you don’t want for Purge 4.

“You intended to come forth into the physical realm to define what is wanted, to connect with the energy that creates worlds, and to flow it towards your objects of attention, not because the objects of attention are important; but because the act of flowing is essential to life.” Abraham-Hicks

Try this for 21 days to see the effects first hand. Continue the practices from previous days for the entire program to fully experience the benefits.

Take Away (Purge 4): Impeccable words of truth set a force of love to please and increase the flow of what we focus on.

21 day clean, purge, balance
4 April 2020 Day 9 (Purge 2) – Letting Go: Purge to rebuild the body

Welcome to Day 9(Purge 2), – Letting Go – Purge your digestive tract; restart the body and rejuvenate.

Intermittent fasting is like restarting the digestive system and encourages autophagy which is also known as self-eating (where the body starts to eat damaged, old and broken cells and proteins to become more self-protective and efficient). It mimics the evolutionary fast and famine cycles of our forebears that provides many health benefits and is an aid to longevity. Autophagy is a cellular process for recycling cells and clean-up. During a fast the cells turn on processes to utilize fat metabolism, reduce stress resistance and damage repair that are turned off when abundant food predominates. Inflammation is lowered as well and human growth hormone (secretin) levels rise which preserves lean muscle mass, reduces fat tissue accumulation and appears to play a role in longevity, wound healing, and cardiovascular health. Intermittent fasting is like a renovation of the body it can help reverse the aging process by purging the old cellular junk and replacing it with renewed (re-grown) cells and tissues.

To start your fast, eat your largest meal at lunch and then eat a light dinner and finish it before 7 pm tonight. Do not eat anything after 7pm until 12 noon or 1 pm tomorrow this activates the process. Feel free to drink water and maybe a little lemon and water during the fast. Nutrient deprivation is the key activator of autophagy.

To end your fast start break the fast with a light meal it should be a balanced plant based meal including salads, vegetables and a little light protein like grains and legumes. Avoid refined white sugars and processed/packaged foods. Stay with real foods; those foods that are closest to the way they come off the tree, plant or ground. You have started to clean up your food consider reducing meat, dairy and other concentrated animal products to reap greater benefit.

Please note that the human body developed with cycles of feast and feminine that provides a unique natural plan for rejuvenation and renewal if we just get out of the way. Many people find a weekly or monthly intermittent fast helps the body perform a natural detoxification and actives the body system for purging and rebuilding. Just as constant dieting can damage our health, we should not do constant fasting and probably should not constantly eat all we want (we seem to be meant to fast on a regular but not constant basis). Note the Wellness center eating plan that you have been given if you are a patient follows a 12 hour intermittent fast to encourage longevity.

Try this for 21 days to see the effects first hand. Continue the practices from previous days for the entire program to fully experience the benefits.

Take Away (Purge 2): Fasting allow the body to naturally detoxify and then rebuild to increase longevity.

rge 1): Clear the clutter for more effectiveness, let go of the resistance.

21 day clean, purge, balance
3 April 2020 Day 8 (Purge 1) – Letting Go: Make Space for Change

Welcome to Day 8(Purge 1), – Letting Go – Free Your Energy, clear your clutter and set yourself free.

A virus asks us to clean, which we did all last week, and then purge which is our focus this week. When we clean out the old we make room for the new; we follow natures plan of renewal – purge the old and grow (build) the new.  We let go of what is no longer needed and create space for the new; in the process resistance is reduced or disappears and our effectiveness can rise dramatically. So let’s get started on Letting Go and create a wonderful launching pad for our next phase.

As a first step use this checklist to clean and purge your life (doing what feels most useful):

Effectiveness Checklist

*  Clean home from top to bottom

*  Get car cleaned and keep it clean

*  Throw out or give away what you don’t use or wear

*  Get up to date on all communications and correspondence

*  Get rid of or fix anything that doesn’t work

*  Return what has been borrowed or resolve it

*  Get back what has been borrowed or resolve it

* Get Office clean

*  Get up to date on all creditors

*  Keep tax information up to date

* Balance checkbook and keep it balanced

* Get health in shape and keep it that way

* Organize all personal records and files

* Get wardrobe in shape and keep it that way

Then ask yourself these questions and then either follow through, delegate, or let go of them as a goal to create more flow in the major areas of your life (Spiritual, Mental, Vocational, Financial, Familial, Social and Physical): Click on the link below to read the whole article at the website.

Take Away (Purge 1): Clear the clutter for more effectiveness, let go of the resistance.

2 April 2020 Day 7 (Clean 7) – Self-care: Cleaning health tips

Welcome to Day 7 (Clean 7), – Self Care – Reach for Relief; start your day from Love.

As we start our morning, checking in and seeing if we are in alignment with the deeper part of ourselves is very important as we found out yesterday in relationship to our true desires. When you are in alignment with the deeper part of yourself you will feel good and be on the love side of the emotional tone scale (see our articles at the website). When we have a wobble and slip into the contrast we feel negative and experience negative “fear” based emotions. It is important to check in regularly and stop the wobble as quickly as possible. To reach at any moment and especially first thing in the morning for the best feeling thought you can, will start to yield a wonderful life for you.

If you feel good when you open your eyes: use gratitude and “I Thank Infinite Spirit for another wonderful day I am creating. I spread the news and share joy as I move forward in my day”.

But if you are wobbling and feeling contrast; take a deep breath and lean into that wobble. Click on the link below and go to the website for the complete article.

Take Away (Clean 7): Be more in your life (80%) and only from alignment add the action (20%) and see what you can create.

21 Day Clean 6

March 31, 2020/0 Comments/in awareness/consciousness, Ayurveda, Dr Rivene, Dr. Rivene and Jim Montrose, food, wellness/by Jim Montrose

21 day clean, purge, balance

31 April 2020 Day 6 (Clean 6) – Self-care: Cleaning health tips

Welcome to Day 6 (Clean 6), – Self Care – Align with your True Desires

We know that alignment trumps all else. So whatever we are doing (waking up and setting intentions for the day, meeting someone, etc.) will go a lot better if it is done from alignment. When I asked Abraham-Hicks why some patients do all the steps of physical structure, bio-chemistry, environmental, and emotional clearing and improve yet still pass on. They answered there is no failed experience but it will always have more favorable results and be easier when the patients comes from alignment and love. So this is the key step to run our lives with more joy, happiness, and ultimately the results we wish to create that align with our highest good.

The process, in a quiet place, is to first ask yourself “What is it that I truly desire (about a concern or wish you have)?” And then ask and “how will this benefit me”? If the answer is that it will make you feel better; then you will grow, expand, evolve, love, and understand that it is right for you and others. If it doesn’t feel like there is any benefit it may not be for your highest good or  you may need to bring what you believe and your desire into alignment (consider tapping see our article, creating a new story see the article, NET see Dr. Rivene, and other methods). Find the articles on the website, www.drzaidarivene.co.za.

Know that in asking for a benefit for yourself; it benefits others around you also.  We are anchored to everyone else around us and asking that benefits one, benefits all. When you are happy and blissful; it is contagious and can positively affect those around us. Alignment with your true desire will increase your joy, happiness, and bliss. Anything else indicates misalignment.

As you wake in morning set your way to alignment by opening your eyes, observing your world, and simply say with a heart filled with gratitude – “Thank you Infinite Spirit, another wonderful day.” Then ask for what you want from a place of knowing it will come.

Try this for 21 days to see the effects first hand. Continue the practices from previous days for the entire program to fully experience the benefits.

Take Away (Clean 6): Begin with gratitude and ask for what you truly desire to benefit yourself and others.
